You are free to check in to the apartment on the day of your booking at anytime after 2pm. An earlier check in may be possible- just ask at time of booking. Please let us know an approxiamate time of arrival as we like to greet you personally. If arriving in the dark, please park in the driveway where security lights will come on. Access to the apartment is from the driveway and the door will usually be unlocked. If it is locked, please call our mobiles!

We are animal friendly and have pets of our own. Unfortunately, this sometimes means that they would like to be a part of your holiday! The two Malteses Shitzhu's, Mollie and Sarah, are extremely friendly and playful. The door to the family garden from the apartment is kept locked to avoid the dogs coming in to visit you. The three cats, Emily, Lizzie and Kelsey do enjoy lots of fuss and cuddles. However, they soon learn if they are not wanted and please feel free to shoo them out of the apartment. Please do NOT feed any of the animals. We have a friendly Possum, Rebecca, who lives in the tree by the deck. She usually has a baby with her. We do feed her but only in line with Wildcare practices. You are welcome to help us feed her at night but we do caution you that she is a wild animal, not a pet! The same applies to other animals that we may be rehabilitating during your stay. This could include young Joey's, Koala's or even ducklings! As they are being carefully medicated and given specific nutricious diets, we do ask that you do not feed them or interact with them without our supervision.

Upon request, we are happy to allow you to bring your own animals under certain conditions: They must be house trained, not in season, kept on a leash at all times and must not be aggressive towards other animals.

Our children have "flown the nest" but we have 5 children between us. We know what it is like to try to find accomodation that is genuinely "child friendly". We have done our best by providing a number of things to keep them occupied so that the parents can crack open the bottle of wine in the knowledge that the children are happy and resting. We have books, games, DVD's, Satellite TV, Wii and a computer to keep even the most housebound child occupied!

We have a wide variety of DVD's, books and Wii games for you to enjoy during your stay at Nunyara. We keep a list of these on an inventory which will be available for you to select from at no extra cost.

There are good walking trails around Nunyara and a basic map will be in your accommodation guide. We do however, advise visitors to stay on the tracks, to enable our wildlife to enjoy their home. Whilst it is very unlikely you will encounter a snake, there are venomous snakes in residence! Therefore, stick to the paths and remember that snakes will try harder to get away from you than you from them!

Nunyara's water is supplied from pure rainwater which tastes beautiful. However, our water is in limited supply, as is all of Queensland. We therefore kindly ask our guests to become as "water-wise" as the locals by using water as conscientiously as possible.

Check out is 10am, however if guests require a later check out, we will try to accommodate this whenever possible

We really hope that you will enjoy your stay with us and come back again soon.
